2017年2月8日(水)から28日(火)までの期間、代官山蔦屋書店にて、VAINL ARCHIVEが主宰する写真家・小浪次郎の写真展を開催致します。本展示では、ニューヨークでの最新撮りおろし写真も含む小浪次郎の作品の数々を展示するほか、2013年より9シーズンに渡って撮影したVAINL ARCHIVEとの軌跡を記録した限定の写真集『footprints』も登場します。さらに、VAINL ARCHIVEより、Fruit of the Loomに別注したスウェットシャツ、PORTERとの別注サコッシュも特別販売されます。
2月8日(水)20:30～21:00頃、会場で小浪次郎によるサインイベントが予定されています。
From February 8th to 28th 2017, TSUTAYA BOOKS Daikanyama will host the exhibition of a photographer Jiro Konami, curated by VAINL ARCHIVE. This show exhibits Konami’s latest work including brand new imagery from New York City. The event also premiers the photo book “footprints” witch encloses series of works of Konami and VAINL ARCHIVE. Visitors can also purchase the brand’s special order products: sweatshirts from Fruit of the Loom and PORTER’s sacoches. Jiro Konami’s book signing event is scheduled 8:30pm -9:00 pm on February 8th in the store.”

VAINL ARCHIVE（ヴァイナル アーカイヴ）
東京のセレクトショップにてデザイン、企画、ディレクションを手がけてきたデザイナー大北幸平（おおきたこうへい）が、2009年より本格始動させた日本のクロージングブランド。独特でストイックなものづくりへの姿勢は、流行という一過性のファッションではなく、アートや文化といった、より普遍的なクリエイティビティや深みを感じるプロダクトへと反映されている。PORTERとのコラボレーションやアーティストとの共同プロジェクトなども続け、独自の世界観を築くVAINL ARCHIVEは、2013年よりコレクションのイメージヴィジュアルを、写真家・小浪次郎とともに制作している。
VAINL ARCHIVE
Established full scale in 2009, VAINL ARCHIVE is created by designer Kouhei Ohkita who had previously worked as a designer and a store director for a Japanese apparel cooperate. Among its fans and the industry, VAINL ARCHIVE is known for its original and culturally inspiring in-depth products rather than chasing ephemeral trend goods. The label has also kept collaborating with PORTER and various creative individuals. Since 2013, VAINL ARCHIVE has worked with photographer Jiro Konami for its collections’ visual creatives.

小浪 次郎 (こなみ じろう)
1986年生まれ。写真家。活動初期より8年間、自身の父親を撮影し続け、絶妙な親子の距離感を記録した作品で2009年に富士フォトサロン新人賞を獲得するなど高い評価を得る。これまでに『父をみる』、『personal memory』、『PARADISE TOKYO』、『GIMATAI』などの写真集を刊行。数々のファッションブランドや雑誌、カタログ、広告、アーティスト写真などを手がける。2016年より活動拠点をニューヨークに移す。『The New York Times』、『Interview Magazine』などで作品を発表。2013年よりVAINL ARCHIVEのコレクションルックブックを撮影し続けている。
Jiro Konami
Photographer, born in 1986. Konami has recognized the portraitures of his own father which he documented for 8 years since his early career. The work captured unique but somewhat relatable father-and-son relationship and earned Fuji Photo Salon the new face Prize 2009. He has published photo books called “Looking at my father”, “personal memory”, “PARADISE TOKYO”, “GIMATAI” etc, and has worked with various fashion labels, magazines, among other ads and artists. In 2016, he moved to New York and has been featured on “The New York Times” and “Interview Magazine.” Since 2013, Komani has kept working with VAINL ARCHIVE for its collection lookbooks.
